Worship

At CFC, we believe worship is more than music. It is a way of life – a continual response of obedience, love, awe, and adoration of God. Music is one way God has given us to express our devotion to Him.

Our musical gifts and talents are given to us by God. However, the reason He bestows them upon us is that we might serve others and that His glory would be manifested in our lives and our corporate times together. This happens as we worship God from our hearts through singing, clapping, dancing and playing instruments, but it also occurs when the everyday lives we live honor God! One goal at CFC is that each person develops a worship life that brings glory to God!

Worship is a primary and significant emphasis for us born out of the command to “Love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and to love our neighbors as ourselves” (Matthew 22:37-40). Our relationships are significantly and positively impacted by our worship of Jesus Christ.

“Worship, fellowship and the work of reflecting God’s kingdom into the world flow into and out of one another. You can’t reflect God’s image without returning to worship to keep the reflection fresh and authentic. In the same way, worship sustains and nourishes fellowship..” (Simply Christian, Tom Wright).

Our style of worship is contemporary with a charismatic emphasis and may include the following Biblical expressions of praise and worship:

 Singing                                     •   Dancing

 Kneeling                                  •   Shouting

 Standing                                  •   Musical Instruments

Lifting Up Hands                      •   Singing a “New Song”

Clapping Hands                       •   Gifts of The Spirit
